The book questions whether technological and economic advancement alone can be considered true civilization. It explains that a civilization focused only on bodily comfort, sensory enjoyment, and industrial development remains incomplete because it ignores the eternal identity of the soul and its relationship with Krishna. Without spiritual understanding, progress in science and society does not solve the fundamental problems of suffering, death, and dissatisfaction.
